Day 9 - Survival of the Dead
Survival of the Dead is George A. Romero's sixth (and most recent) entry into his "... of the Dead" series. It is also his first direct sequel in the series, as this film follows the soldiers that the characters of "Survival" encounter. Overall, not a terrible movie. In fact, parts of the story are quite interesting, and thought provoking, especially the concept of the dead relearning aspects of their past lives.
I definitely enjoyed watching this one. There was some ridiculousness, as well as some questionable cast choices and characters. Like I said, I enjoyed it, but that doesn't mean it was perfect. Alls that I have to say is that I didn't realize that there were Irish/Scottish settlements off of the coast of Delaware, that is also home to a number of Good Ol' Boys. It was kind of ridiculous.
Best Part:
Three way tie here people: Death by flare gun. Death by fire extinguisher. Death by hot dog. Yes. Death by hot dog. All three were pretty damn awesome. You can probably find at least one of these on YouTube.
